The personal light meter of David A. Armstrong, director of photography for every Saw installment from James Wan's Saw (2004) to Saw VI (2009), along with various ephemera from the production of Saw. Light meters allow cinematographers to gauge the intensity of light in a given frame, making them essential tools in the arsenal of every camera crew in Hollywood for decades. This exact light meter was key to the establishment of Saw's groundbreaking and widely imitated aesthetic, which includes high-contrast lighting, exaggerated color grading, and a highly mobile hand-held camera.

This lot originates from the collection of Armstrong. In addition to the functional Minolta light meter, it consists of a leather case for the meter; a 35-page "Shoot Day" schedule; a Panavision document with three marked-up pages; nine "Shoot Day" schedules; a 100-page script; a Saw comic book; a Saw DVD cover in a plastic sleeve; and an unpeeled promotional sticker. The paperwork exhibits folding, creasing, and stains. Dimensions: (largest) 10" x 8.5"(25.5 cm x 21.5 cm)
