Captain Miller's (Tom Hanks) Army Ranger costume from Steven Spielberg's Saving Private Ryan. Miller wore his standard-issue uniform and helmet throughout the film while his unit from the 2nd Rangers Battalion searched for Private Ryan (Matt Damon).

The film won five Academy Awards® out of 11 nominations and has been critically acclaimed as one of the greatest films ever made, with its iconic battle sequences cited as a major influence on subsequent war and action films.

This costume consists of a rehearsal helmet made from a standard helmet's inner particle board liner painted green to resemble a full helmet with green nylon and brown leather straps, "2" for the 2nd Rangers Battalion painted on the exterior, and "Miller" hand-marked on the interior; a matching jacket, button-up shirt, and undershirt; a tactical vest; a belt; two pairs of trousers with the army green one marked "Miller" on the tag; a pair of boot covers; and a pair of boots. Also included is one metal shovel and three canvas shovel covers.

The jacket also includes various built-in pockets with small amounts of sand in them, while the button-down shirt features a Rangers patch on the left sleeve and the vest features two pouches on a webbed belt stencilled with "U.S." This costume exhibits pulled threads on some seams, a buildup of grime in the pockets, and discolouration.
