A set of storyboards from the production of David Espinosa’s 2012 action thriller Safe House. Junior CIA officer Matt Weston (Ryan Reynolds) and veteran operative Tobin Frost (Ryan Reynolds) were attacked by mercenaries whilst inside a safe house. This lot comes from the personal collection of the film’s stunt co-ordinator Greg Powell.

There are 82 A4 pages of printed storyboards, most of which are hole-punched and bound by a metal clip. The storyboards are dated from 09.02.11 to 13.02.11 and depict a car chase sequence in which Weston and Tobin are pursued in their BMW through the streets of Cape Town. Rendered by the film’s storyboard artist Stephen Forrest-Smith as five storyboards per page, they include explanatory notes adjacent to each storyboard and information as to pan shots, tracking shots and lenses.

The lot also includes a single page showing colour CCTV images of a car lifting into the air.

The storyboards show some light creasing but the lot is in very good condition.
