A bank file and documents used in the production of Ron Howard’s 2013 sports-drama, Rush. Based on a true story, the film follows racing icons Niki Lauda (Daniel Brühl) and James Hunt (Chris Hemsworth) during their infamous 1976 Formula One season. As their rivalry on and off the track begins to take its toll, a near-fatal injury leaves Lauda fighting for the championship and Hunt in pole position to take the title.

These bank documents were used in a deleted scene, as Niki Lauda is refused a bank loan after a disagreement with his father over his decision to pursue Formula One racing. The paper bank file contains numerous letters, duplicates and blank pages printed on headed paper, with many dated as September 1973 and two pages signed in blue ink. In addition, there are seven envelopes addressed to “Herr N. Lauda”, four photocopies of an article referring to Niki’s racing career and six unused ‘Raiffeisen Bank’ stick-on transfers. Each item remains in excellent condition, with the file itself measuring approximately 32 x 23cm (12.5 x 9”).

These props are original assets used in the production of the 2013 film RUSH. The assets are made available through a partnership between Prop Store and Exclusive Media. This is not a replica, but rather an original piece from the making of the film.
