A wooden track sign used in the production of Ron Howard’s 2013 sports-drama, Rush. Based on a true story, the film follows racing icons Niki Lauda (Daniel Brühl) and James Hunt (Chris Hemsworth) during their infamous 1976 Formula One season. As their rivalry on and off the track begins to take its toll, a near-fatal injury leaves Lauda fighting for the championship and Hunt in pole position to take the title.

This track sign and others like it would have been used at the Kylami circuit in South Africa in order to indicate the remaining time before the start of the championship race, although it ultimately did not make the final cut of the film. The sign is made from a large wooden panel that has been attached to two narrow wooden planks. The main body of the sign has been has been painted matte black with ‘1 Minute’ painted in white on one side. There are number of scratches from on-set use, but this item otherwise remains in good production-used condition. The sign measures approximately 112.5 x 120cm (44.25 x 47.25”).

This prop is an original asset used in the production of the 2013 film RUSH. The asset is made available through a partnership between Prop Store and Exclusive Media. This is not a replica, but rather an original piece from the making of the film.
