A collection of vinyl records used in the production of Ron Howard’s 2013 sports-drama, Rush. Based on a true story, the film follows racing icons Niki Lauda (Daniel Brühl) and James Hunt (Chris Hemsworth) during their infamous 1976 Formula One season. As their rivalry on and off the track begins to take its toll, a near-fatal injury leaves Lauda fighting for the championship and Hunt in pole position to take the title.

These vintage records were used in James Hunt’s apartment as he argues with wife Suzy (Olivia Wilde) after failing to secure sponsorship for the upcoming racing season. The collection of 12” LPs feature both their original sleeve and vinyl record with the collection comprising of The Doors’ ‘Waiting for the Sun’, Marvin Gaye’s ‘Songs in the Key of Life’, and David Bowie’s ‘Hunky Dory’ and ‘The Man Who Sold the World’. Lightly used on the production, the records remain in overall good production-used condition with each record measuring approximately 31.5 x 31.5cm (12.5 x 12.5”).

This prop is an original asset used in the production of the 2013 film RUSH. The asset is made available through a partnership between Prop Store and Exclusive Media. This is not a replica, but rather an original piece from the making of the film.
