A painting of Rocky Balboa (Sylvester Stallone) as seen in Stallone's Rocky III hand-painted by artist Deependra Dev. The painting is based on the iconic one-sheet, which featured newly-minted heavyweight champion Balboa in his boxing costume and which United Artists distributed to promote the film's theatrical release.
This painting, which unlike the final poster features a blue background behind Balboa and white areas around his gloves instead of text, is rendered in mixed media, signed, and dated "1985" at bottom by Dev, and backed with paper. It exhibits tearing in multiple places, cracking to the paint, and discoloration to the construction paper borders wrapped to protect the paper's edges. It should be handled with caution.
