This magnificent artwork is rendered in mixed media on an illustration board set into the black foam core. It exhibits bent and smudged corners and scuffed foam.

This is a mixed media poster concept artwork for Sylvester Stallone's "Rocky III," hand-illustrated by the legendary American commercial artist Bob Peak. Peak is known for designing some of the most recognizable film posters in history, including those for the first five "Star Trek" films, "My Fair Lady," and "Superman." He created multiple concept artworks for "Rocky III," including this painting that depicts Rocky Balboa (played by Stallone) training for his climactic battle with Clubber Lang (played by Mr. T). However, none of these artworks were ultimately used in the film. In recognition of his contributions to illustration, Peak was honored with a 2011 exhibition at the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.
