A troll mask made by legendary makeup artist Rick Baker for a personal workshop project. The Academy Award® winner created his well-known troll character in the early 1980s to demonstrate his talent to potential productions. He later donned a detailed version of this mask in a popular interview segment with Maria Shriver for PM magazine.

The sculpt for this mask is well-known to fans of makeup and monster effects. Cast in the 1980s, it is believed to be the only such example in the collectors market and previously sold in Propstore's 2015 Rick Baker: Monster Maker Auction.

Made from silicone, the slip-on mask is ornately hand-painted in shades of peach and gray and textured with ridges and wrinkles to resemble real skin. The interior is padded with cotton to help it maintain its shape. The mask exhibits some scuff marks and stains on the reverse, as well as minor tears around its edges from handling over the years.
