A 1:4-scale convoy tanker truck model miniature from Russell Mulcahy's Resident Evil: Extinction. Claire Redfield (Ali Larter) led survivors through the wastelands of North America in a small convoy that included a tanker truck. Later, after the remaining survivors were overwhelmed by zombies, Carlos Oliveira (Oded Fehr) sacrificed himself by using Claire's truck to eradicate the horde with an explosion.
This model miniature was created by renowned effects house New Deal Studios to convey size and scale in shots that would have otherwise been prohibitive to film, such as driving through post-apocalyptic Las Vegas and the truck's explosion. Extinction ultimately earned a prestigious Scream Award® nomination for Best Sequel.
This large, ornately detailed static model miniature truck is constructed primarily from metal, with a plastic cab and detailed body with rubber wheels. It is intentionally distressed by production to appear aged and well-used in an arid desert environment. This model miniature has undergone sympathetic restoration to repair the cab. It also shows evidence of wear consistent with on-set use, handling, and age, including cracks and chipped paint. Dimensions: 80" x 24" x 25" (203.25 cm x 61 cm x 63.5 cm)
