A Split Head Zombie Doberman Puppet from the 2010 Paul W.S. Anderson action sequel, Resident Evil: Afterlife. In this installment of the successful franchise, Alice (Milla Jovovich) bands together with a group of survivors on a quest to find a mythical safe haven, free from the virus that has ravaged the planet.
This puppet comes from a scene towards the end of the film in which Alice confronts Albert Wesker (Shawn Roberts) in a sub level of an Umbrella Corporation ship. In the scene, Alice is attacked by two T-Virus infected dogs whose heads split in half. The live action dogs were complimented by make up and computer generated imagery, however this puppet was used in the background after Alice has dispatched the dobermans.
Made from foam rubber, this dog has been covered in felt and decorated to appear like a decaying corpse. The exterior of the dog features a protruding rib cage and numerous flesh wounds. The dog has been split from the head, down to the mid-torso, exposing dozens of teeth fitted inside the monstrous insides. Recognizable bits of brain and muscles have been mixed with more gruesome monster-like innards. Most of the structure, including the teeth, have been crafted out of foam rubber, however some detailing on the inside of the monster has been made with foam latex.
Due to production use, this item features some wear. The eyes have been removed, the right ear has come loose as well as a few teeth within the body. There is also some white residue on the side from where the prop was wrapped to protect the foam latex. It measures approximately 16" x 44" x 34" (41cm x 112cm x 86cm) and is in overall good condition.
