Six fabulous original storyboard sheets from "Stimpy's Cartoon Show", one of the most self-referential and well-loved episodes in the entire Ren and Stimpy catalogue, in which Stimpy decides to produce his own animated cartoon, with Ren as the reluctant creative partner watching the whole endeavour spiral magnificently out of control.

Storyboarding on Ren and Stimpy was never a quiet, administrative process. John Kricfalusi's studio built the show from its boards outward, treating the storyboard stage as the place where comedy was actually invented rather than merely documented. These six sheets carry that energy visibly. Credited to boarders Michael Kim and Chucks Pecoraro, they run from page 1 through to page 25, covering the episode's opening title card, "Stimpy's Cartoon Show" lettered in the show's own gloriously handmade style, through to mid-episode action sequences involving Ren, Stimpy, and what the annotation on sheet seven identifies as "The Great Wilber Cobb." Each panel is drawn directly onto the printed Ren and Stimpy Show storyboard template, with yellow Post-it overlay sketches affixed to multiple panels throughout, showing revised compositions and updated scene directions alongside the base drawings. Action notes, dialogue cues, timing indicators, and scene numbers are annotated throughout, and the peg holes on the left edge of each sheet are intact.

Produced at Klasky Csupo in 1993, this is genuinely inside-the-room material: the drawings where an episode stops being a pitch and starts becoming a cartoon. Six sheets, thirty-six panels, one of the finer episodes from a show that rewrote the rules of what television animation could get away with.
