Dr. Chip Pettengill's (Simon Baker) spacesuit from Antony Hoffman's Red Planet on a display. Dr. Pettengill suited up with Lieutenant Ted Santen (Benjamin Bratt), Dr. Quinn Burchenal (Tom Sizemore), Dr. Bud Chantilas (Terence Stamp), and Robby Gallagher (Val Kilmer) after a solar flare caused the spaceship to malfunction, leading to an emergency evacuation to reach the planet surface. Pettengil continued to wear his spacesuit while on Mars until his death.

This lot features a dense rubber helmet with vinyl decals, acrylic mesh backing, and a yellow acrylic visor; a polyester, vinyl, rubber, metal, and canvas bodysuit; and boots all mounted on a mannequin. The helmet's interior is hand-marked "3" in black ink. The suit chest features Pettengill's nameplate alongside brand sponsor names. It exhibits chipping and flaking paint, peeling vinyl, and cracked rubber on the helmet. Dimensions: (display) 20" x 30" x 68" (51 cm x 76.25 cm x 172.75 cm)
