This lot will be sold on Wednesday 2nd December (day 2 of the auction.) Lots 464-913 will be sold on day 2 (lots 1-463 will be sold on day 1). The auction will begin at 2:00 pm GMT. A model miniature of Starbug 1 from the sci-fi comedy television show Red Dwarf. The notoriously unreliable Starbug shuttles first appeared in Series III and were the crew's primary mode of transportation to different planets, although they were often crashed by the crew.

The model miniature is made of resin and features a hand-painted green finish, with additional detailing and intentional distress applied to make the craft look well used.

The craft resembles an insect, with three bulbous sections, rocket thrusters on the rear, and four landing legs. Decals reading "Starbug 1" are applied to the front and rear sections on each side of the ship, and "1" transfers are applied to the top of the ship's central compartment and on its fins. A clear canopy covers the cockpit. The rear of the body has a square hole where a rod was placed, supporting the model during filming.The model has very minor wear from production use and age, including some scuffing, scratches and a couple of small areas of paint wear.
