A pair of lamellar armor from John Woo's Red Cliff. The soldiers of the Three Kingdoms wore their special lamellar armor as they fought in various battles.

Known for heralding pioneering director Woo's return to Chinese-language cinema, Red Cliff broke box office records, eclipsing Titanic as the then-most successful theatrical release ever in mainland China. Very little material from the production has ever surfaced on the collectors market, making this pair of lamellar extremely rare.

The lot consists of front and back pieces, one composed of scales of black plastic and the other of black sheet metal held together by red braided cotton cording. This lot exhibits a buildup of grime and discoloration.
