Katja’s (Catherine Zeta-Jones) Russian Air Force costume from Dean Parisot’s 2013 action comedy sequel Red 2.
Russian Federation Marshal Katja wore her costume when she went to catch retired spies Frank (Bruce Willis) and Marvin's (John Malkovich) infiltration of the Kremlin while on the search for an atomic weapon. This version of the costume was created for the scene where Katja was shot by Doctor Bailey (Anthony Hopkins).
The costume consists of a navy blue woollen jacket and matching pencil skirt. An array of insignia decorates the jacket, including gold coloured leaf emblems on the lapels, striped medal ribbon bars on the left breast and elaborate shoulder boards. A strip of Velcro is adhered to the inside of the collar and lapels and was used for adding a faux-shirt collar. An intentional “bullet” hole is present on the left hip of the jacket. The skirt features a zip and button fastening at the front.
No sizes are marked within the costume and Hero Collection costumier's labels are located inside the jacket and skirt. Both garments come with production tags featuring the actor’s name, change number, and the jacket tag has “Bullet Hit Left Hip” highlighted in yellow. A medal is missing from the left breast and a patch has been removed from the right sleeve. Well-used on the production, the costume displays minor signs of wear, but remains in very good condition.
