This item is a rubber prop Barrett M82CQ - 50 BMG sniper rifle created for the 2008 production of Rambo, starring Sylvester Stallone. This is the stunt version of the rifle SAS-Trained Sniper 'School Boy' (Matthew Marsden) uses throughout the film. Stunt weapons such as this are used for distance shots where a hero piece is not needed, and the lack of detail will not be picked up by the camera. They are lighter and therefore easier for the actors to handle. They are also used for stunt sequences where the actor could possibly fall on the prop and injure themselves if they were holding the hero version. This rifle is made out of rubber and features an arrow design muzzle brake, hole engraved handguard, oversized optic sights (assembled specifically for this movie), as well as an oversized magazine and shoulder strap. The entire piece measures approximately 52" in length and is in good condition.
Recent changes to the violent crime reduction bill mean that this particular prop can only be sold to customers who reside outside the UK. Generally speaking, it is illegal for a resident of the UK to buy this item.
