A Christmas card specially commissioned by Freddie Mercury to send to friends circa 1980s. This card was originally owned by Mercury and was scheduled to be sold as part of his personal possessions collection, which was auctioned at Sotheby's in 2023. However, the lot was withdrawn and purchased by another party, close to Queen, before the auction.

The Dayglo pink card has a black-and-white portrait of Mercury from the June 1984 Vogue photo shoot on the front. Inside the card is a humorous printed message, "Wishing you a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from the Preening, Pouting, Posing, Posturing Old Tart". The lot exhibits some light edge wear and creasing. Dimensions: 21.5 cm x 17.5 cm (8.5" x 6.75")
