A set of 16 puppet pieces from George Pal's Puppetoons. The shorts used replacement animation, a form of stop-motion animation in which parts or whole puppets are replaced between frames to simulate movement.

These hand-carved, painted wooden pieces include four male heads; two female heads; one dog head; one soldier head; one armless male body; and seven leg pairs: skiing, ice-skating, animal, blue pants, and pinstripes with spats. Each exhibits paint chipping. Dimensions: (largest) 7" x 6.5" x 2.5" (18 cm x 16.75 cm x 6.5 cm); (smallest) 1.25" x 1.25" x 1.25" (3.25 cm x 3.25 cm x 3.25 cm)
