Vincent Vega's (John Travolta) towel from Quentin Tarantino's Pulp Fiction. After Vega and Jules Winnfield (Samuel L. Jackson) made a mess by accidentally shooting Marvin (Phil LaMarr) in the back of their car, cleaner Winston Wolfe (Harvey Keitel) hosed the blood off the two men and tossed them Jimmie Dimmick's (Tarantino) towels to dry off with.
Pulp Fiction was the top-grossing film at the US box office during its first weekend and became the tenth highest grossing film of 1994, despite playing at significantly fewer theaters than any other film in the top 20. Pulp Fiction was named Best Picture by seven prominent film critic associations, won the Palme d'Or at the 1994 Cannes Film Festival, and was nominated for seven Academy Awards®: Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actor (for Travolta's career-revitalizing performance as Vega), Best Supporting Actor, Best Supporting Actress, Best Film Editing, and Best Screenplay - Written Directly for the Screen; winning the latter. Considered by many to be Tarantino's magnum opus, Pulp Fiction was selected in 2013 for preservation in the US National Film Registry by the Library of Congress as "culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant."
