An Engineer helmet from Ridley Scott's Prometheus. The design of the Engineer helmets was a call-back to Scott's first Alien film, and was a direct tie that revealed the transmission the crew of the Nostromo investigated came from an Engineer vessel. The Engineers were not only connected to the creation of mankind, but also the originators of mankind's possible destruction.

Prometheus marked Ridley Scott's return to the Alien franchise as director, and the film received praise for its designs and cast performances. Production designer Arthur Max and his team were tasked with reverse-designing the visual aspects of Alien for use in a prequel setting.

Made from fibreglass, this skull-like hollow, rigid helmet features a snout-like respirator tube and was hand-painted in shades of brown, tan, and amber. The underside of the helmet is open. Production intentionally distressed this helmet to appear aged and covered in grime. This lot exhibits chipped, flaking paint.
