A ceramic Engineer ampule with four mutagen vials from Ridley Scott's Prometheus. The Engineers stored their biochemical creations, which were unstable at room temperature, in otherworldly vials kept inside ampules. The android David (Michael Fassbender) opened an ampule on the Prometheus and infected Charlie Holloway (Logan Marshall-Green) with its vial's contents, setting the stage for the emergence of the deadly xenomorphs.

This lot consists of one ampule and four vials. Designed by raku pottery specialist Rob Sollis, this two-piece ceramic ampule (lid and bottom) features alien text vertically etched into it and was fired with a metallic, chrome-like glaze. While ceramic ampules are exceedingly rare, the inscriptions do not match the designs seen in the final cut, suggesting this may have been a production prototype.

Designed to resemble glass, the four translucent plastic vials are attached to a faux bone carrying case designed to hold the vials in the ampule. The topper for one of the vials has undergone sympathetic restoration to reattach it, and allow for a clean break if needed. Several of the vials still contain a small amount of black liquid. Production intentionally distressed this lot to give it an aged appearance. Its contents remain fragile, and the lot should be handled with care.
