303. Full-Size SFX Escape Pod

A full-size SFX escape pod from Ridley Scott's sci-fi prequel Prometheus.
Several escape pods were present in the bay of the Prometheus as Meredith Vickers (Charlize Theron) frantically changed into her spacesuit and strapped herself into her pod, before Captain Janek (Idris Elba) rammed the Engineer's ship. This version of the pod was created for exterior shots only.
The pod is made of fibreglass finished in grey and silver, with a removable top panel featuring a transparent plastic viewport and black rubber trim. "Light Weight 1" and "1 x 450" are handwritten on the hollow interior. The pod displays notable scratching and scuffs on the underside. Dimensions: 253 cm x 126 cm x 76 cm (99.5" x 49.5" x 30")
