Buttercup's (Robin Wright) dress from Rob Reiner's fairy-tale adventure The Princess Bride.

Buttercup wore her red dress when she was kidnapped by Vizzini (Wallace Shawn), Inigo (Mandy Patinkin) and Fezzik (Andre the Giant). She also wore it during her reunion with her true love Westley (Cary Elwes), and while traversing the deadly Fire Swamp.

This full-length dress is made from red cotton with a herringbone weave. It features puffy, laced-up sleeves, stitched, laced-up eyelets on the back, and a petticoat. The dress shows some wear from production use and age, with loose threads and plucked stitching, most notably on the inside, where some of the stitching has come away. There is also some fraying, and a few small dark stains.
