A platinum CD award presented to Dr. Fink to commemorate the sale of more than 1,000,000 copies of The Hits 1 and The Hits 2, released in September 1993 as part of a three-disc set compilation of Prince's most successful songs. This lot comes from the personal collection of Matt Fink (known by his stage name Dr. Fink). The award display contains a large printed image of Prince, two CDs featuring the album cover images for "The Hits 1" and "The Hits 2", and a holographic R.I.A.A (Recording Industry Association of America) certified sales award logo plaque. The award comes mounted under acrylic within a black frame, which exhibits some minor wear. This lot is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity co-signed by Dr Fink. Dimensions: 38 cm x 53 cm x 3 cm (15" x 20.75" x 1.25")

Additional Provenance: This lot comes from the personal collection of Grammy-Award-winning keyboardist and producer Matt Fink (known by his stage name Dr. Fink). Fink was a member of Prince's band from 1978 to 1991, notably playing as part of The Revolution, who also starred in the 1984 film Purple Rain.
