A suit worn by Dr. Fink in the music video for Prince's 1986 single "Girls & Boys" and a custom suit made by designers Louis Wells and Vaughn Terry. "Girls & Boys" was a track on the album Parade, the soundtrack to the film Under The Cherry Moon. Louis Wells and Vaughn Terry worked with Prince for six years designing his wardrobe, including the Purple Rain era. Under the instruction of Prince, this suit was specifically designed for Fink and gifted to him for Christmas in 1985. This lot comes from the personal collection of Matt Fink (known by his stage name Dr. Fink).

The "Girls & Boys" Lubiam suit comprises a sparkly double-breasted wool, polyester and nylon jacket (marked size "52 R 6") and a pair of cotton and modal smart trousers (marked size "52 R 6"). The custom suit comprises a black double-breasted jacket featuring red pinstripes and matching trousers. Inside the jacket is a "Louis & Vaughn Los Angeles" branded label with an additional "MATT " label. This lot is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity co-signed by Dr Fink.

Additional Provenance: This lot comes from the personal collection of Grammy-Award-winning keyboardist and producer Matt Fink (known by his stage name Dr. Fink). Fink was a member of Prince's band from 1978 to 1991, notably playing as part of The Revolution, who also starred in the 1984 film Purple Rain.
