The costume worn by Matt Fink in the music video for Prince's 1979 single "Why You Wanna Treat Me So Bad?". The video features Prince and the band performing on a stage, with Fink behind the keyboard. This lot comes from the personal collection of Matt Fink (known by his stage name Dr. Fink). Before adopting the Dr. Fink persona, Fink tried different looks at Prince's request, and eventually came up with the doctor character. "Why You Wanna Treat Me So Bad?" is the only video in which Fink wore this yellow-and-black tailcoat-style costume.

The lot comprises a yellow sateen tailcoat with black lapels and covered buttons, a matching yellow false waistcoat front, and a pair of Walker USA yellow-and-black-polka-dot trousers. Also included in the lot is a red backup pair of Walker USA trousers. The jacket and red trousers exhibit some minor marks. This lot is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity co-signed by Dr Fink.

Additional Provenance: This lot comes from the personal collection of Grammy-Award-winning keyboardist and producer Matt Fink (known by his stage name Dr. Fink). Fink was a member of Prince's band from 1978 to 1991, notably playing as part of The Revolution, who also starred in the 1984 film Purple Rain.
