A gold disc presented to Matt Fink to commemorate the sale of more than 500,000 copies of Prince's second self-titled studio album released in 1979. This lot comes from the personal collection of Matt Fink (known by his stage name Dr. Fink). The award comprises a 12-inch gold-coloured disc, a printed copy of the album cover and a metal plaque which states that it is a certified R.I.A.A (Recording Industry Association of America) sales award. It comes mounted under acrylic in a gold-coloured wooden frame, and a metal hanging bracket is fitted onto the reverse. Some of the gold paint finish displays signs of wear. This lot is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity co-signed by Dr Fink. Dimensions: 52.5 cm x 42.5 cm x 3 cm (20.75" x 16.75" x 1.25")

Additional Provenance: This lot comes from the personal collection of Grammy-Award-winning keyboardist and producer Matt Fink (known by his stage name Dr. Fink). Fink was a member of Prince's band from 1978 to 1991, notably playing as part of The Revolution, who also starred in the 1984 film Purple Rain.
