Matt Fink's paratrooper jumpsuit worn at the first ever Prince concert on the 5th of January, 1979. Warner Bros. booked two shows at the Capri Theater in Minneapolis, MN, on the 5th and 6th of January, 1979, to promote Prince's debut album "For You". This lot comes from the personal collection of Matt Fink (known by his stage name Dr. Fink).

Fink (not yet working under his stage name) was hired as a touring musician in the months before the gig. The paratrooper costume originally belonged to Prince and he personally provided it to Fink.

The jumpsuit (size "Small Long") features multiple zip-up pockets across the chest, legs and arms. This lot is accompanied by a printed still, and a certificate of authenticity co-signed by Dr Fink.

Additional Provenance: This lot comes from the personal collection of Grammy-Award-winning keyboardist and producer Matt Fink (known by his stage name Dr. Fink). Fink was a member of Prince's band from 1978 to 1991, notably playing as part of The Revolution, who also starred in the 1984 film Purple Rain.
