Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time

Prince Tus (Richard Coyle) Armour Segments

Stock #23004

A set of Tus's (Richard Coyle) metal armour segments used in the Jake Gyllenhaal action adventure Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time. These belonged to Prince Garsiv and Dastan's elder brother Tus who is first in line to inherit the throne, and formed part of a full set of his metal armour which was dismantled at some point during production to be cast in clay and enable a full set of rubber armour to be made.

Included in this set are two chest and back sections and a full set of front and rear cingulum made from leather and covered in protective metal scales. Many of the components originally had a liner which was removed for the casting process and never replaced, and the entire set shows evidence of use on set with scuffs to the metal. The set was obviously assembled, used then dismantled for the casting process having still got stitch marks and rivet holes where it was all joined together.

Most of the pieces still have labels detailing Tus's name (spelt "Tuss") and the position of the segment in relation to the set, and are all slightly dusty from the casting process with some pieces of clay still caught beneath the scales. It is a great collection of production worn pieces which simply have a slightly different back story to most. There are no sizes marked as the armour was custom made for the actor.
