Nizam’s (Ben Kingsley) shield from Mike Newell’s 2010 action adventure Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time.

Although not seen in the final cut of the film, Nizam carried his shield on the back of his horse, as seen on page 150 of the Behind-the-Scenes companion book. The shield is made from a thin, circular, and slightly convex sheet of aluminium, padded with foam on the back and covered in black leather. The front features brass chevrons with ornate embossed patterns, circling a moulded resin boss painted gold in the centre. The back has thick handles used to keep it secure to the wearer.

It shows wear from use on set with scuffs and dents covering much of the surface, but overall remains in excellent condition.
