A gold disc presented to Matt Fink to commemorate the sale of more than 1,000,000 copies of Prince's single "Purple Rain". Arguably, one of his most iconic and recognised songs, "Purple Rain", was the titular track from Prince's critically acclaimed album released in 1984. This lot comes from the personal collection of Matt Fink (known by his stage name Dr. Fink). Displayed within a gold-painted wooden frame and mounted under acrylic, the award features a large gold-coloured disc and a metal plaque stating it is a certified R.I.A.A (Recording Industry Association of America) sales award. A metal hanging bracket is attached to the back. This lot is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity co-signed by Dr Fink. Dimensions: 43 cm x 32.5 cm x 3.25 cm (17" x 12.75" x 1.25")

Additional Provenance: This lot comes from the personal collection of Grammy-Award-winning keyboardist and producer Matt Fink (known by his stage name Dr. Fink). Fink was a member of Prince's band from 1978 to 1991, notably playing as part of The Revolution, who also starred in the 1984 film Purple Rain.
