A portrait of Georgiana (Emilia Fox) and an autographed photo from the 1995 BBC adaptation of Jane Austen’s book Pride & Prejudice.
The arrival of a wealthy man sends Elizabeth Bennet’s (Jennifer Ehle) marriage-minded mother into a frenzy, as Elizabeth clashes with the haughty Mr. Darcy (Colin Firth).
Georgiana is the younger sister of Mr. Darcy, and the portrait can be seen during scenes in the music room in Pemberley, the fictional Derbyshire estate of Mr. Darcy. The portrait features Georgiana sitting in a white dress looking off into the distance. It is on canvas and pinned to a wooden frame. On the back of the frame there are two handwritten notes. One at the top reads ‘Emilia Fox As Georgiana In BBC TV “Pride and Prejudice”’ and the other reads ‘Thank you for supporting the National Brain Appeal! With all best wishes Emilia Fox’. The pieces are being sold on behalf of the National Brain Appeal, who raise money to advance research and treatment in neurology and neurosurgery.
The autographed black-and-white photo features Emilia Fox and her brother Freddie Fox and has been signed by both in black marker pen.
The portrait has intentional wear from production use to make it more period-appropriate and remains in an excellent condition.
