A blank, oversized "Check Game" (formerly "Blank Check") game check from The Price is Right. Introduced in 1981 as "Blank Check" until the name was changed to "Check Game" in 1986, the game centered around contestants filling out an oversized check for an amount that they think, when added to the price of a prize, would total between $8,000 and $9,000. If they guessed correctly, the contestant would win both the cash amount and the prize, and if they guessed incorrectly, the check would be voided.
Based on a previous gameshow of the same name that ran from 1956 to 1965, the revival was hosted by Bob Barker from its 1972 inception until his retirement in 2007. At that time, Drew Carey took over as host and remains the host to this day. Still going, at over 54 seasons, The Price is Right is now the longest running game show in the world. This style of check, with the smaller routing and account numbers than its predecessor and the "Today" and "NOW" printed instead of hand-written, was used from 1984 until 2000, at which time it was replaced with a similar check that read "20 NOW" instead of "19 NOW." This blank check is made of matte cardstock and features the show's logo with "starring Bob Barker" printed beneath. It is dated "Today, 19 NOW."
