This item is crafted primarily with a foam latex with details made from other materials. On the head, the eyes, which have partially closed eyelids, are made with black resin. The jaw and teeth have been crafted from polyurethane, giving them a permanent 'wet' look. Two horns extend from the back of the skull, which are made from resin, to give them the look of bone. Where the head has been detached from the rest of the body, a layer dark red plastic has been scrunched against the foam for a realistic "guts and gore" look. The entire item has an incredible level of detail, including a variety of orange, green, blue and black paint for the hide, glaze paint for the lips and nostrils, and wrinkles throughout the latex. Some of the latex has been peeled away on the right side of the head, where this creature was 'shot' while attacking. The two horns atop the skull have deep grooves etched through them, for an aged horn look.

The body is made from a highly detailed foam latex skin over a structure made from fiberglass. On his back are numerous long horns which have been cast from resin, while the smaller spikes that poke out from his skin are made from foam. Several small foam latex spikes line the back of the dogs shoulders, kind quarters, and back of the feet. The claws on the dog are also made from the same foam latex, though the paint detail give them a different finish than the rest of the body. As with the head of this dog, where the body meets the neck has the same red plastic texture finish to give a blood and guts appearance. Four gunshot wounds can be seen on the right side of the body. The horns for this dog are removable and will ship unattached.

This item features some signs of wear from production use and age, including a gouge through the foam at the top of the head, but remains in overall good used condition.
