A Prototype Berserker (Mr. Black) Helmet from Robert Rodriguez's 2011 sci-fi horror film, Predators. In the film, a group of human warriors are brought to an otherworldly planet where they are hunted by a vicious alien race known as Predators. Mr. Black, also known as Berserker, leads the hunt throughout the film.
This helmet is made of rubber urethane, with a layer of fiberglass cloth lining the interior. It is painted a dark, reddish gray. The helmet features Berserker’s signature Predator jaw sculpted out of the urethane and painted to mimic dirty bone with sharp teeth on the front and sides of the jaw. This jaw differs slightly from the one ultimately used in the film on the final masks. The helmet is meant to be battle damaged, and features some dirt and scratches, applied to the prototype to see how the helmet would look on film, though it was not ultimately used.
The helmet was purposefully damaged for the production and features some wear due to age and storage. Overall, this helmet is in great condition.
