Falconer's (Brian Steele) screen-matched Predator Bio-Mask with costume from Nimrod Antal's Predators. The Predator known as Falconer hunted down the humans with a reconnaissance drone and his giant Yautja blade while on the Game Preserve Planet. Chipping on the nose of the Yautja bio-mask in this lot screen-matches to Falconer's climactic fight with Hanzo Kawakami (Louis Ozawa Changchien).
Predators was lauded as a return to form for the beloved Predator franchise, winning two awards from the Taurus World Stunt Awards for "Best High Work" and "Best Specialty Stunt." Of particular acclaim were its Predator costumes which were designed by KNB EFX GROUP, Inc. to better accommodate the wearers than previous iterations while still paying homage to those from John McTiernan's film. This helmet was designed with breathing slits cut into the mask that are unseen in other masks within the franchise.
This Falconer costume features a rubber urethane bio-mask with a layer of fiberglass cloth lining the interior and tinted, plastic eye lenses; foam locs attached to cowl with a hole for the performer's face and a large piece of self-adhesive strip that is used to attach the helmet; a multicolor foam latex body suit finished with hand-painted reptilian markings marked "Brian Steele #1" next to the zip closure; an armored neck piece; chest armor with a built-in pauldron; a right gauntlet made of fiberglass marked "Falconer C. Jones" on the interior; a pair of hands, one foam glove with acrylic claws marked "Falconer" on the interior and the other sculpted to resemble armor with "Brian Steele" on the interior; a set of hip armor; thigh armor, and a pair of shoes are made of dense rubber, molded over a pair of Asics shoes (U.S. Size 13).
The armor pieces attach to the suit with straps and self-adhesive strips. The helmet and head cowl come attached to a foam bust display. The foam latex bodysuit exhibits dryness, flake and chipped paint, discoloration, and a buildup of grime, and will require significant labor to mount on a mannequin display. It remains fragile and should be handled with caution.
