A partial Falconer Predator costume from Robert Rodriguez's 2011 sci-fi horror film, Predators. In the film, a group of human warriors are brought to an otherworldly planet where they are hunted by a vicious alien race known as Predators. This suit can be seen throughout the film as Falconer hunts down humans with a falcon and a giant blade that springs from his gauntlet as he faces a katana-wielding assassin.
This costume features a body suit made of foam latex, sculpted into a muscular, alien body. The body is sticky with fake blood, as this suit would have been used for Falconer’s fight sequence. The helmet is production made, crafted of slush cast resin, and has tinted, plastic eye lenses that have been temporarily attached with putty. The hands are also made of foam latex, and the left is sculpted to mimic a metal gauntlet. This costume is missing the right gauntlet. The armor, which includes the chest protection, left thigh, and right knee protection, is all made of rubber, and attaches to the suit with straps and Velcro. The shoes are made of dense rubber, molded over a pair of Aasics shoes, size US 13; however, this costume contains two right-footed shoes, one of which is unpainted. Many of the suit’s components are marked with “Carey Jones” or his initials as he was the actor in the suit. This costume is missing the Predator head cowl.
There are some cracks in the foam latex due to stretching during production use, but this costume is in overall great condition.
