A damaged Falconer Predator bloody left gauntlet from the Robert Rodriguez-produced 2011 sci-fi horror film, Predators. In the film, a group of human warriors are brought to an otherworldly planet where they are hunted by a vicious alien race known as Predators. Falconer hunts down humans with a falcon and a giant blade that springs from his right gauntlet. This bloody left gauntlet would have been made for the battle scene between Falconer and a katana-wielding assassin.
This gauntlet/glove piece is made out of one piece of foam latex, molded into a glove that could easily slip on the actor’s left arm. The foam is crafted to represent segmented armor covering the fingers, hands, and forearm. The gauntlet is painted black with dark reddish hue, and silver detailing. The gauntlet is covered in corn syrup, which served as fake blood during production. As a result, the gauntlet is very sticky, and the syrup has begun to corrode the latex.
This gauntlet shows wear due to production use and storage where the foam remains damaged, but it remains in overall fair and fragile condition.
