A Berserker (Mr. Black) Helmet from Robert Rodriguez's 2011 sci-fi horror film, Predators. In the film, a group of human warriors are brought to an otherworldly planet where they are hunted by a vicious alien race known as Predators. Mr. Black, also known as Berserker, leads the hunt throughout the film. This helmet has lights in the sight, and would have been used when Berserker used his laser sight.
This helmet is made of rubber urethane, with a layer of fiberglass cloth lining the interior. The helmet features Berserker’s signature Predator jaw sculpted out of the urethane and painted to mimic dirty bone with eight sharp teeth at the front, and two teeth on either side. The lenses are made of tinted plastic attached by glue. There is a large piece of Velcro inside the helmet that would have been used to attach the helmet to the Predator’s cowl. On either side of the Velcro is a piece of foam padding used to secure the helmet to the head. The laser sight is made of a small rubber piece with three holes. Behind the holes are lights taped to the inside of the helmet, and a cord which would have supplied power to the light. The power source is no longer present, and the lights have not been tested.
The helmet was purposefully damaged for the production and features some wear due to age and storage. Overall, this helmet is in great condition.
