Issued to advertise the CBS television series based upon the hit 1968 film of the same name, this poster was used primarily by television stations in local markets and is much more scarce than the print run for a theatrical-release poster. This example is folded in outstanding condition and displays only sporadic light diagonal creases on the second row of panels.

Fans of the immensely popular "Planet of the Apes" movies received a special treat from CBS when the network began airing a TV series in 1974. This poster for the series is scarce, as most were sent primarily to local TV stations. The poster that many collectors are more familiar with is the compilation one sheet that features all five of the feature films re-released in 1974.
