A collection of ape hair with ephemera from legendary makeup artist John Chambers for Franklin J. Schaffner's sci-fi classic Planet of the Apes.

This lot contains a stack of production-made crepe wool ape hair of various colors; 37 color production stills; 113 black-and-white production stills; an orange cover-bound 45-page script and a 60-page script; two large format video film reels to promote Battle for the Planet of the Apes; one gray fabric and gold-color painted framed black-and-white behind-the-scenes photo of Chambers styling an ape; and one brown synthetic leather photo book with 46 pages of black-and-white photos. This lot exhibits edge wear, discoloration, and scuffing. Dimensions: 18" x 15" x 13" (45.75 cm x 38.25 cm x 33 cm)
