A background gorilla mask from Franklin J. Schaffner's sci-fi film Planet of the Apes. After landing on a futuristic version of Earth, George Taylor (Charlton Heston) encountered super intelligent apes, including gorilla soldiers.

This mask is made of latex with brown-painted skin, black hair applied throughout, and fastening strips in the rear to close it on the wearer. It exhibits some hardening to the latex and cracking throughout the painted finish of the face.
