A chimp mask from Franklin J. Schaffner's sci-fi classic Planet of the Apes. Astronaut George Taylor (Charlton Heston) encountered groups of super intelligent apes after he landed on a futuristic version of Earth.

This chimp mask is made of black painted latex rubber with white painted teeth and black synthetic hair. The mask features a slit opening in the back for easier wear access. This lot exhibits glue residue around the chin and neck and sympathetic repair done to the synthetic hair.
