A gorilla soldier costume from Franklin J. Schaffner's sci-fi classic Planet of the Apes. Astronaut George Taylor (Charlton Heston) encountered groups of super intelligent apes after he landed on a futuristic version of Earth.

This costume consists of a dark brown ribbed leather vest (size 40) with snap buttons marked "2954-1"; brown canvas trousers (size 30x31) marked "2954-3"; and a brown, black leather, and canvas shoulder sling with pouches. This lot exhibits discoloration from age.
