Prop Store is proud to present an exclusive offering of ‘The Pirates! In An Adventure With Scientists’ stop motion puppets, props and set pieces from Aardman and Sony Pictures Animation.

This collection of items can be seen below deck aboard Queen Victoria’s royal flagship the QV1, as the chef prepares a feast of endangered animals for the World Leaders attending The Rare Creatures Dining Club – a fate that poor Polly the Dodo narrowly escapes. The collection includes a hanging pig, deer, turkey, skinny chicken and rabbit. The pieces are each made from resin, which has then been painted and varnished, with varnished rope ties attached to the hanging items. There are minor marks and small glue residue on some of the items from production use, but otherwise the set remains in excellent condition. The hung pig is the largest component and measures approximately 17.5cm (7”) in length.

In The Pirates! In an Adventure with Scientists, Hugh Grant stars in his first animated role as the luxuriantly bearded Pirate Captain – a boundlessly enthusiastic, if somewhat less-than-successful, terror of the High Seas. With a rag-tag crew and seemingly blind to the impossible odds stacked against him, the Captain has one dream: to beat his bitter to the much coveted Pirate Of The Year Award. It's a quest that takes our heroes from the shores of exotic Blood Island to the foggy streets of Victorian London. Along the way they do battle with the pirate-hating Queen Victoria and team up with a young Charles Darwin, but never lose sight of what a pirate loves best: adventure.
