Prop Store is proud to present an exclusive offering of ‘The Pirates! In An Adventure With Scientists’ stop motion puppets, props and set pieces from Aardman and Sony Pictures Animation.

Percy can be seen in the Royal Society sequences, and is very similar to the gentleman who presents the prototype of his airship to a panel of judges – making sure to emphasize the added bonus of being able to look down ladies tops whilst on board the dirigible! Percy’s outfit is made entirely from foam latex with silicone skin, footwear and sideburns. His head is resin and he features a small amount of plasticine around his eyes and eyelids to allow for maximum expression. His detachable mouthpiece is made from ‘Rapid Prototyped’ resin and he features the reference ‘Percy 24/05’ marked inside his head. Percy can be posed and positioned via an intricate internal metal armature, including wire within the tails of his jacket for added realistic movement. There is a small amount of cracking around the shoulders of his jacket, but he otherwise remains in excellent production used condition. He is presented here on a bespoke display stand and measures approximately 32cm (12.5”) in height, with the stand measuring approximately 13.5x12.5cm (5.25x4.75”) around the base.

With a rag-tag crew at his side and seemingly blind to the impossible odds stacked against him, the Captain has one dream: to beat his bitter to the much coveted Pirate Of The Year Award. It's a quest that takes our heroes from the shores of exotic Blood Island to the foggy streets of Victorian London. Along the way they do battle with the pirate-hating Queen Victoria and team up with a young Charles Darwin, but never lose sight of what a pirate loves best: adventure!
