Julie Scrumptious can be seen laughing along with the other pirates in The Barnacle’s Face when Black Bellamy mocks the Pirate Captain after learning he intends to enter and win the Pirate of the Year competition! She can also be seen looking shocked as the Pirate Captain is stripped of his Pirate of the Year Award after his royal pardon from the pirate-hating Queen Victoria is exposed! Julie’s clothing has been made from foam latex with silicone hems around her billowy trousers. Her head, including her hair and headscarf are resin with plasticine around her eyes and eyelids for maximum expression. Her mouthpiece is ‘Rapid Prototyped’ resin and this would have been alternated by puppeteers throughout filming. Her hands are silicone and she features some great detail within her outfit, including patches on her striped trousers and a tiny skull necklace, also made from foam latex. Julie is entirely pose-able via an intricate internal steel skeleton. There is slight evidence of cracking around the shoulders of her jacket and the back of her neck but she otherwise remains in very fantastic production used condition. Presented here on a bespoke display stand, she measures approximately 30.5cm (12”) in height with the stand measuring approximately 13.5x12.5cm (5.25x4.75”) around the base.

With a rag-tag crew at his side and seemingly blind to the impossible odds stacked against him, the Captain has one dream: to beat his bitter to the much coveted Pirate Of The Year Award. It's a quest that takes our heroes from the shores of exotic Blood Island to the foggy streets of Victorian London. Along the way they do battle with the pirate-hating Queen Victoria and team up with a young Charles Darwin, but never lose sight of what a pirate loves best: adventure!
