Prop Store is proud to present an exclusive offering of ‘The Pirates! In An Adventure With Scientists’ stop motion puppets, props and set pieces from Aardman and Sony Pictures Animation.

Englebert can be seen in the Royal Society sequence as he claims second prize in the Scientist of the Year competition for his tin-can telephone! Englebert’s clothing is made entirely from foam latex, with plasticine skin. His head and hair are resin, with a small amount of plasticine around his eyes and eyelids for maximum expression. He features a removable mouthpiece made from ‘Rapid Prototyped’ resin with the reference ‘Englebert 25/05/10’ located inside his head. His ‘telephone’ prop is made from resin, with a thin rope connecting the two cans. Englebert can be posed and animated via an intricate internal steel skeleton, and there is also wire located throughout the tails of his jacket and the rope of the tin-can phone for added realistic movement. The piece is accompanied with a resin winner's podium and a resin Royal Society bust and plinth.

Due to the delicate nature of the puppet, there are a few small marks and cracks on his plasticine hands, including a missing thumb on his left hand. There are slight cracks in the shoulders of his jacket, but he otherwise remains in very good production used condition. He is presented here on a bespoke display stand, and measures approximately 31cm (12”) in height, with his stand measuring approximately 13.5x12.5cm (5.25x4.75”) around the base.

With a rag-tag crew at his side and seemingly blind to the impossible odds stacked against him, the Captain has one dream: to beat his bitter to the much coveted Pirate Of The Year Award. It's a quest that takes our heroes from the shores of exotic Blood Island to the foggy streets of Victorian London. Along the way they do battle with the pirate-hating Queen Victoria and team up with a young Charles Darwin, but never lose sight of what a pirate loves best: adventure!
