Prop Store is proud to present an exclusive offering of ‘The Pirates! In An Adventure With Scientists’ stop motion puppets, props and set pieces from Aardman and Sony Pictures Animation.

Caroline is featured at the Royal Society Event as scientists for far and wide compete for Scientific Discovery of the Year – a prize eventually claimed by the Pirate Captain for presenting his dodo Polly! Caroline can be seen eagerly awaiting the entrance of the pirate-hating Queen Victoria as she enters the hall to present the Captain with is award. Her entire outfit, including her intricately crafted necklace, have all been made from foam latex. Caroline’s skin and hair are silicone and her head is resin, with a small amount of plasticine around her pose-able eyes. She features a removable mouth piece made from ‘Rapid Prototyped’ resin, with the reference ‘Caroline 04/06/10’ located inside her head. Her upper body can be animated via an intricate internal metal armature and her elaborate three-tiered dress is secured to a resin base, allowing for her to be positioned securely throughout filming. She is accompanied by a small mechanism tool to adjust her skirt, although it is currently unclear how this would have been used. There is slight evidence of cracking around her neck, but despite this Caroline remains in outstanding condition. She is presented on a bespoke display stand and measures approximately 30.5cm (11.75”) in height, with the stand measuring approximately 17.5 x 17.5 cm (6.75 x 6.75”) around the base. The piece is accompanied by a wooden pub settle and a candelabra to create a fantastic display set!

With a rag-tag crew at his side and seemingly blind to the impossible odds stacked against him, the Captain has one dream: to beat his bitter to the much coveted Pirate Of The Year Award. It's a quest that takes our heroes from the shores of exotic Blood Island to the foggy streets of Victorian London. Along the way they do battle with the pirate-hating Queen Victoria and team up with a young Charles Darwin, but never lose sight of what a pirate loves best: adventure!
